Drivers in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are facing a sudden increase in fuel costs after diesel prices jumped by more than 10 cents overnight following unscheduled market adjustments.
Nova Scotia
Following a prior increase on Tuesday, diesel prices in Nova Scotia spiked yet again—this time by 10.7 cents. With this latest adjustment, the minimum price for diesel in the Halifax area has risen to 220.9 cents per litre.
Meanwhile, regular self-serve gasoline remains unaffected by the unscheduled change, holding steady at a minimum price of 183.1 cents per litre.
New Brunswick
In New Brunswick, drivers experienced a similar surge as diesel prices jumped by 11.1 cents. The maximum price for diesel in the province has now reached 220.8 cents per litre.
As in Nova Scotia, regular self-serve gasoline prices saw no change and remain capped at a maximum of 183.1 cents per litre.
Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.)
In contrast to its neighboring provinces, Prince Edward Island did not see any overnight price adjustments at the pumps.
- Regular self-serve gasoline remains at a minimum of 189.6 cents per litre.
- Diesel remains at a minimum of 225.9 cents per litre.
