Death of Man in Greenfield Ruled a Homicide; Incident Was Targeted, Says RCMP

HALIFAX: The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have confirmed that the death of a man found outside a home in Greenfield, Nova Scotia, is being investigated as a homicide. According to investigators, the initial evidence strongly indicates that the incident was a targeted attack.

The body of the victim was discovered in the early hours of June 11 outside a residence on Peck Meadow Road. Following the discovery, the case was deemed suspicious and immediately handed over to the RCMP’s Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit for a detailed investigation.

While police arrested one individual on the day the body was found, the person was subsequently released without any charges being laid. Following an autopsy conducted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, authorities officially ruled the manner of death as a homicide. Law enforcement officials have chosen not to disclose further details regarding the identity of the victim or the specific cause of death at this stage.
