OTTAWA: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for popular ‘So Delicious Dairy Free’ dessert products across Canada. The order, released on September 22, comes after foreign materials including plastic and “gravel-like fragments” were detected in the products.
The recall affects 500-ml containers of cashew-based ‘So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel’. The affected batches have ‘Best-Before’ dates of September 8, October 15, and October 16, 2027, as well as February 3, February 25, March 30, and March 31, 2028. Authorities have warned consumers not to use, sell, serve, or distribute these recalled products.
Manufacturer Danone Inc. issued a similar recall notice in the United States on September 15 following consumer complaints regarding the presence of small stones and other hard objects in the dessert. Notably, products under the same brand were previously recalled in Canada on January 2, 2026.
