The Kerala PEI Cultural Association (KPCA) has announced a grand multi-faith celebration to honor Easter, Vishu, and Ramadan, alongside a special tribute for International Nurses Day. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown.
According to the organizers, the festivities will run from 4:00 PM until midnight at the venue located at 46 Kensington Road. The event aims to bring together the Malayali community and the broader public on Prince Edward Island to celebrate the diverse traditions and shared values of unity and faith that these festivals represent.
A highlight of the evening will be the recognition of the nursing community. By incorporating Nurses Day into the cultural program, the association seeks to honor the dedication and hard work of healthcare professionals, many of whom are prominent members of the local Kerala diaspora.
The celebration is expected to feature traditional cultural performances, music, and ethnic cuisine, providing an immersive experience of Kerala’s rich heritage. KPCA leadership has invited everyone to join the festivities, emphasizing that such gatherings are vital for fostering community spirit and preserving cultural identity in their home away from home.
