Guiding the Next Generation: WMC Ontario to Host Special Seminar for Mother’s Day

TORONTO – To commemorate International Mother’s Day, the World Malayalee Council (WMC) Ontario Province has announced a special educational seminar titled “Bridging the Generation Gap: Guiding Our Children Toward a Better Future.” The event aims to provide mothers and families with the tools to navigate modern parenting challenges while fostering strong, supportive relationships with their children.

The seminar will be led by Madhu Sree, a prominent trainer and counselor known for her expertise in family dynamics. The session will focus on understanding the mindset of today’s youth in a rapidly changing world. Key discussion points include techniques for effective communication, nurturing social responsibility in children, and balancing traditional values with contemporary lifestyles to ensure children are guided in the right direction with love and empathy.

Organizers from the WMC Women’s Forum emphasized that such a seminar is essential in the current social climate, where cultural and generational shifts can often create friction within immigrant families. To ensure the program is accessible to the wider community across the province and beyond, the event will be conducted online.

Registration for the seminar is free of charge. Interested participants are required to register in advance via the following link: https://forms.gle/EUgBeA6eN7vVegRU7. The WMC Ontario Province also noted that this is the first in a planned series of seminars, with more sessions on socially relevant topics scheduled for the coming months to support the well-being of the Malayali community in Canada.
