Edmonton– An Amber Alert has been issued across Alberta following the suspected abduction of a six-year-old boy. RCMP say Lanakai Morrison was taken on Tuesday from the hamlet of Valhalla Centre, located approximately 63 kilometers northwest of Grande Prairie. The emergency alert was officially broadcasted in the early morning hours on Thursday.
Police believe the child is traveling with his mother, 35-year-old Krista Morrison, her partner, 35-year-old Daniel Ludwig, and another four-year-old child named Karl Morrison. RCMP Const. Sanda Geiger stated that investigators have reason to believe the group remains within the Beaverlodge area, though their exact whereabouts are currently unknown.
According to the RCMP, the incident stems from a family court order involving Lanakai. Officers had been called to assist with the court order just before the group disappeared.
Descriptions for Identification:
- Lanakai Morrison (6): Slight build, long brown hair, and brown eyes.
- Krista Morrison (35): 5′8″ tall, medium build, long dark brown hair, and brown eyes.
- Daniel Ludwig (35): 5′11″ tall, large build, brown hair, and brown eyes.
The group is believed to be traveling in a 2015 Toyota Tundra bearing the Alberta license plate CTN9517.
