WINNIPEG: Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a heat warning for Central Manitoba, with high temperatures expected to last through the entire weekend. The weather agency predicts that temperatures will feel between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius with the humidity. The heat is expected to subside by Monday.
The agency has advised residents to pay attention to the initial symptoms of heat-related illnesses, which include headaches, nausea, dizziness, thirst, dark urine, and fatigue. If these symptoms are experienced, it is recommended to stop all activities immediately and drink plenty of water.
