New health care positions announced in rural and remote services across Saskatchewan

Regina: The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is preparing to hire new healthcare workers in rural areas. The SHA announced plans to create more and improved positions to address the shortage of healthcare professionals. This province-wide initiative aims to provide healthcare workers to all communities and enhance medical assistance in the coming months.

This move comes as the shortage of healthcare workers in rural areas continues to be a major challenge for the province. It is expected that 77 new full-time positions will help bring more professionals to primary healthcare, emergency care, and long-term care sectors. The Saskatchewan Health Authority stated that this will help improve the health standards in rural communities and ensure patients receive care closer to home.
