Health Canada Recalls AXE and Dove Body Sprays Over Missing Safety Labels

OTTAWA: Health Canada has issued a recall for several popular AXE and Dove body sprays and anti-perspirants due to a failure to meet national cosmetic labeling regulations. The recall was triggered because the products lack mandatory hazard symbols and safety instructions on their packaging. Officials warned that the absence of these clear warnings could lead to improper use of the products, potentially resulting in serious injury or health complications for consumers.

The affected products, distributed by TJ Trading Co. Inc., include AXE Men Body Sprays in Musk, Africa, and Dark Temptation scents (150 ml), as well as Dove Anti-Perspirant sprays in Cucumber & Green Tea, Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena, and Invisible Dry Clean Touch (107 ml). Approximately 384 units of these specific batches were sold across Canada between January and March of this year.

As of April 1, 2026, there have been no reports of injuries or adverse health effects related to the use of these recalled items. However, Health Canada advises anyone currently in possession of these products to stop using them immediately. Consumers are encouraged to return the items to the point of purchase for a full refund or contact TJ Trading Co. Inc. for further guidance.
