Montreal: Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for Eastern Canada due to the possibility of snowfall. The advisory is applicable to the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick. As temperatures are expected to drop below zero degrees Celsius, there is a risk of damage to plants and crops. Therefore, authorities have urged residents in affected areas to take precautions.
According to the warning, frost is possible in several areas of Quebec outside Montreal, including Val-des–Monts, Sainte-Anne-du-Lac, Granby, and Sherbrooke. In New Brunswick, temperatures could reach between -1 and 4 degrees Celsius in Campbellton, Edmundston, and Woodstock. Environment Canada has advised taking necessary measures to protect frost-sensitive plants.
