Small changes for Maritimers at the pumps

ATLANTIC: Fuel prices across Canada’s Maritime provinces saw noticeable adjustments overnight, with gasoline prices edging down slightly while diesel prices moved higher in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Conversely, New Brunswick experienced a drop in both gasoline and diesel prices.

Province-by-Province Breakdown:

  • Nova Scotia: In the Halifax area, regular self-serve gasoline decreased by 2 cents to a minimum price of 191.7 cents per litre. However, diesel rose by 3.6 cents, bringing the minimum price to 265.5 cents per litre. In Cape Breton, the minimum price stands at 193.6 cents per litre for gasoline and 267.5 cents per litre for diesel.
  • Prince Edward Island: Regular self-serve gasoline dropped by 2.3 cents, bringing the new minimum price to 202.9 cents per litre. Diesel prices climbed by 4.6 cents, setting the new minimum price at 256.7 cents per litre.
  • New Brunswick: Both gasoline and diesel prices registered declines in New Brunswick. Regular self-serve gasoline dipped by 0.6 cents to a maximum price of 195.2 cents per litre. Diesel saw a more significant drop of 5.6 cents, bringing the maximum price down to 269.6 cents per litre.
