OTTAWA- Meteorologists are warning that Canada could experience a sharp drop in temperatures during the upcoming Thanksgiving long weekend due to the influence of Hurricane Isaias in the Gulf of Mexico.
Strong northerly winds and overcast skies generated by the storm system are expected to cause temperatures to plunge across the country. Environment Canada highlights that major eastern cities—including Toronto and Montreal—as well as the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, face a strong possibility of rain and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, rain, snowfall, and erratic weather shifts are forecasted for Western Canada and British Columbia. Authorities urge residents traveling or planning outdoor activities over the Thanksgiving long weekend to closely monitor and follow local weather advisories.
