Man dead after crashing stolen motorcycle: N.B. RCMP

DRUMMOND, N.B. — A 27-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash early Saturday morning on Sutherland Brook Road in Drummond, New Brunswick.

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the incident occurred at around 6:30 a.m.. Initial investigations suggest the rider lost control of the motorcycle while attempting to navigate a curve in the road.

Emergency responders arriving at the scene located the driver, a resident of Drummond, who had succumbed to his injuries.

Police later confirmed that the motorcycle involved in the crash had been stolen earlier that morning from a residence in nearby Saint-André.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. The RCMP, assisted by a collision reconstructionist, continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
