Dairy Milk Oreo bars recalled due to undeclared ingredient

Cadbury is pulling its popular Dairy Milk Oreo Candy Bar off store shelves nationwide following a recall notice issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The move comes after it was discovered that the chocolate bars contain pistachios, an ingredient not listed on the product’s label.

Because tree nut allergies can trigger severe or potentially life-threatening reactions, the CFIA is strongly advising consumers who are allergic or sensitive to pistachios not to consume the recalled product. Health officials confirmed that allergic reactions associated with consuming the candy bar have already been reported.

The CFIA urges anyone who has purchased the affected chocolate bars to dispose of them immediately or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Meanwhile, government inspectors are verifying that the product is completely removed from retail shelves and are conducting a broader food safety investigation that could lead to additional recalls.
