Diesel prices drop nearly six cents on P.E.I.

CHARLOTTETOWN – Consumers in Prince Edward Island (PEI) are seeing significant relief at the pumps as diesel prices dropped by 5.7 cents per litre following an unscheduled price adjustment. This latest decrease comes closely on the heels of an 8.1-cent drop last Sunday, marking a welcome trend for diesel users across the province.

With this new adjustment, the minimum price for diesel in PEI has fallen to 236.8 cents per litre. In contrast, gasoline prices remain unchanged, with regular self-service gasoline holding steady at 190.2 cents per litre.

While PEI experienced these fluctuations, neighboring provinces Nova Scotia and New Brunswick reported no changes in their fuel prices during this period. The next scheduled price review for all three Maritime provinces is expected this coming Friday.
