WASHINGTON: In a significant blow to President Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming midterm elections in November, new survey reports indicate a sharp decline in his popularity. According to a joint poll conducted by The Washington Post, ABC News, and Ipsos, 60% of Americans have expressed dissatisfaction with Trump’s administration. Only 39% of those surveyed currently support the President.
Reports highlight that this is his lowest approval rating since the 2021 Capitol riots. The primary factors driving the public away from the Trump administration appear to be the rising cost of living and controversial policies regarding import tariffs.
The economic crisis and inflation remain the top concerns for voters. Among the participants, 65% believe the government has failed to effectively manage inflation. Public priority has shifted toward reducing daily expenses rather than focusing on issues like immigration or crime. Political analysts suggest that if this sentiment persists through the upcoming elections, the Republican Party could face crucial losses in several key seats.
