TORONTO: Seven people have been arrested in connection with the largest dark web drug trafficking case in Canadian history. The arrested individuals have been identified as Raphael Magdayles (40), Kevin Lo (30), Richard Tat (31), Danil Maty (31), Matthew Wong (46), Tommy Thao (30), and Calvin Butt (32), all residents of the Greater Toronto Area.
According to the RCMP, the investigation began when German authorities contacted them after taking down a dark web marketplace that had numerous Canadian users. The probe led to the identification of a vendor operating under the name “Roadrunner.” Officials stated that “Roadrunner” was shipping approximately 400 packages per week across the country.
During searches in various locations, police seized 75 kilograms of different drugs, including cocaine, MDMA, meth, heroin, and ketamine. All the seized narcotics were found to be packaged with the “Roadrunner” label. The accused have been charged with multiple offenses related to drug trafficking.
