Prince Edward Island Issues 101 Invitations in Latest PNP Draw

CHARLOTTETOWN – Prince Edward Island (PEI) has conducted its third provincial immigration draw of the year, issuing invitations to 101 candidates. The draw, held on March 20, 2026, targeted applicants through the Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways.

This latest round brings the total number of invitations issued under the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to 236 for the year 2026. The province continues to manage its invitation volume based on federal allocations and local labour market demands.

Focus on Priority Sectors

Consistent with the previous two draws of 2026, the Office of Immigration prioritized candidates working in sectors vital to the province’s economy. This includes:

  • Healthcare
  • Skilled Trades
  • Manufacturing
  • Other industries facing significant labour shortages.

By focusing on these specific areas, the province aims to address immediate workforce gaps and ensure that newcomers can contribute effectively to the local economy.

Application Process and Future Schedule

To be considered for the PEI PNP, foreign nationals must first create an account on the province’s official website and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Profiles are then ranked based on factors such as education, language proficiency, and work experience.

Following its published 2026 schedule, the province is expected to hold its next invitation rounds on April 16 and May 21. However, officials note that these dates are subject to change based on application volumes and processing capacity.
