VANCOUVER – A pilot is in critical condition after a small aircraft crashed at the Pitt Meadows Airport in British Columbia. According to BC Emergency Health Services, the accident occurred at approximately 11:16 AM on Monday morning, leading to an immediate emergency response.
The Pitt Meadows Fire and Rescue Services (PMFRS) and BC Ambulance Services arrived at the scene shortly after the crash to conduct rescue operations. The pilot, who was the sole occupant reported, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has announced that an investigation into the cause of the crash is officially underway. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the pilot or specific details regarding the aircraft’s flight path prior to the incident.
