Ontario Trillium Benefit to be Disbursed on the 10th

TORONTO: Good news for Ontario residents. The next Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) is set to arrive in your accounts in the next two days. The Ontario Trillium Benefit is designed to help residents manage regular expenses such as taxes, energy bills, and property taxes.

The OTB is a combination of three different credits: the Ontario Sales Tax Credit (OSTC), the Northern Ontario Energy Credit (NOEC), and the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credits (OEPTC). The amount a person or family receives is calculated based on several factors, including their age, income, location, family size, and the amount paid in rent or property tax.

For individuals or families whose annual OTB payment is $371 or less, the benefit is distributed as a single lump-sum payment, which is typically disbursed in July. For all other recipients, the payments will be distributed on the 10th of each month, with upcoming dates scheduled for September 10, October 10, November 10, December 10, and on January 9, February 10, March 10, April 10, May 8, and June 10 in 2026.
