Manitoba PNP Draw: 32 Applicants Invited in April 9 Selection

Winnipeg: The latest draw under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), held on April 9, 2026, has provided a fresh wave of opportunities for individuals seeking permanent residency in the province. A total of 32 applicants from the Skilled Worker category were issued Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) during this selection. This draw is particularly significant for foreign skilled professionals and those already working within Manitoba, as it reinforces the province’s commitment to addressing specific labor market needs through strategic recruitment.

The invitations were distributed across several specialized initiatives designed to bolster various sectors of the community. According to the draw details, 10 invitations were issued through Employer Services, while 7 went to the Francophone community. Additionally, 5 invitations each were granted to candidates within Ethnocultural Communities, Regional Communities, and those under Temporary Public Policy (TPP). Of the total 32 candidates selected, 8 possessed valid Express Entry profile numbers, highlighting the integration between provincial and federal immigration pathways.

Industry experts suggest that these targeted provincial draws remain a vital lifeline for candidates who may have lower Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores but possess skills that are in high demand locally. By focusing on specific strategic initiatives, Manitoba continues to provide a more accessible route to Canadian permanent residency. Those who have been selected in this round now have a designated timeframe to submit their formal applications for provincial nomination, moving them one step closer to settling permanently in the province.
