Manitoba and Federal Governments Invest in Local Winnipeg Business Amid Economic Uncertainty

WINNIPEG: Against a backdrop of tariff threats and global economic uncertainty, the government of Manitoba is focusing on strategic investments in local businesses to bolster the provincial economy. As part of this effort, Provincial Minister of Labour, Jamie Moses, announced a joint investment of $159,000 by the province and the federal government into Duha Colour Services Ltd., a company based in Winnipeg.

Minister Moses emphasized the mutual benefits of the investment, stating, “When companies like Duha grow, our province grows. By investing in our people and supporting innovation, the government is helping to modernize businesses.”

Rick Duha, Chief Business Officer for the company, confirmed that the investment will assist Duha Colour Services in integrating new technologies. Duha is recognized as one of the world’s largest manufacturers of paint swatches and colour charts, and has been operating in the province for over 75 years. The investment is intended to ensure the company remains competitive and continues its long history of growth in Manitoba.
