Khalistani Leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun Issues Threat Against Indian High Commissioner

OTTAWA: Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has issued a public threat against India’s High Commissioner to Canada, Dinesh Patnaik.

Pannun, through the organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), accused the newly appointed High Commissioner Patnaik of being the face of “Modi’s aggressive Hindutva ideology” in Canada. Pannun further alleged that Patnaik has begun recruiting “RAW operatives” (agents of India’s intelligence agency) for espionage and to target activists who support the Khalistan referendum.

In response, SFJ has announced plans to organize a 12-hour protest in front of Patnaik’s residence on October 18, under the slogan, “Go Back or Face.”

Furthermore, SFJ has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the residential address of the High Commissioner. The escalation marks a significant rise in diplomatic tensions between the Sikh separatist movement and Indian officials stationed in Canada.
