HALIFAX: Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston has traveled to Milan, Italy, as part of a trade mission focused on stimulating the province’s energy sector.
The mission, which began on Sunday in London, is specifically designed to promote Nova Scotia’s offshore natural gas opportunities, according to the provincial government.
Premier Houston spoke at the World Energies Summit in London on Monday, where he also held meetings with executives from prominent energy companies. The Premier highlighted the province’s potential, asserting that Nova Scotia offers energy companies the “full package,” which includes existing oil and gas reserves, a strategic location, and a skilled workforce.
The focus of the trade delegation is to attract international investment and expertise to develop the province’s energy resources and capitalize on its strategic advantages in the global market.
