WASHINGTON: A Hindu temple in Greenwood City, USA, has been attacked again, marking the fourth such incident this year. The BAPS Swaminarayan Temple was defaced with slogans against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi written on its walls, according to a post on X by the Hindu American Foundation.
The Indian Consulate in Chicago has condemned the attack and has urged police to find the perpetrators and take action. The main sign board of the temple was also vandalized. The Consulate’s statement called for vigilance against those causing trouble in the temple area.
Preliminary conclusions suggest that Khalistan sympathizers may be behind the attack. This is the fourth time in a year that a BAPS temple has been targeted in the US.
