Grizzly Bear Attack Forces Trail Closures Near Prince George

VANCOUVER: Trail closures have been implemented in the McGregor Mountain area near Prince George following a grizzly bear attack that left two hikers injured, the British Columbia Conservation Officer Service (BCCOS) announced.

The incident occurred on Saturday when the two hikers were attacked by a grizzly bear.

The BCCOS stated that Problem Animal Team specialists are currently investigating the attack and have advised the public to cancel all hiking plans in the Pass Lake area.

No further details regarding the health condition of the hikers have been released by the Service at this time.
