General Motors recalls Corvettes due to fuel leak

OTTAWA: Transport Canada has announced a recall of several Chevrolet vehicles in Canada due to the risk of a fuel leak and subsequent fire. The affected vehicles are the 2023-2026 model Chevrolet Corvettes.

The agency states that fuel may leak from the fuel filler pocket when these vehicles are refueled. As a result, the fuel can reach the left-side radiator and fan assembly, which could lead to a fire. A total of 1,801 vehicles are being recalled in Canada. General Motors has stated it will notify vehicle owners by mail and that the vehicles should be taken to a dealership to have a shield installed to divert any leaked fuel.
