Ford recalls trucks due to due to a steering malfunction

OTTAWA: Transport Canada has announced the recall of Ford trucks in Canada due to a steering malfunction. A total of 14,125 vehicles are included in the recall. The agency stated that in some vehicles, the upper steering shaft may separate, which could result in a complete loss of steering control. Ford has warned that this defect increases the risk of an accident.

The recall includes the following models:

  • Ford F-250 Chassis Cab 2020
  • Ford F-250 Super Duty 2020
  • Ford F-350 Chassis Cab 2020
  • Ford F-350 Super Duty 2020
  • Ford F-450 Chassis Cab 2020
  • Ford F-450 Super Duty 2020

Ford advises that vehicle owners will be notified by mail with instructions on how to bring their vehicle to a dealership for inspection and repair of the steering shaft. Owners can also check the status of their vehicle by visiting the website ford.ca/support/recalls or by calling Ford Canada at 1-800-565-3673.
