OTTAWA: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted the first Express Entry draw of August. In this draw, 225 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates received invitations to apply for permanent residence.
The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw was 739. This marks a decrease of 49 points from the CRS cut-off score of the previous PNP draw on July 21.
So far in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 49,628 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system. This year, the Express Entry draws have primarily focused on PNP candidates, with other ITAs being issued to candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), those with French language proficiency, and other Express Entry priority occupations.
