Fire Erupts at Scarborough Car Dealership; Multiple Vehicles Destroyed

TORONTO – A major fire broke out at a car dealership in Scarborough early Sunday morning, resulting in the destruction of several vehicles. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at 1285 Kennedy Road, near Ellesmere Road, after receiving reports of the blaze around 5:00 AM.

According to Toronto Fire Services, the fire originated among the vehicles parked on the lot. Firefighters acted quickly to contain the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to the main dealership building or adjacent properties. While at least four vehicles were reported as total losses, officials confirmed that no injuries were sustained during the incident.

The Toronto Police Service and fire investigators remain on-site to determine the exact cause of the blaze. At this stage, it is unclear whether the fire was accidental or suspicious in nature. Traffic in the Kennedy and Ellesmere area was briefly diverted as crews worked to clear the debris and secure the site.
