Explosions Reported in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain; High Alert Issued Across UAE

DOHA: Reports have emerged of fresh explosions in Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Bahrain, with additional accounts of blast sounds heard in Dubai. Following the attacks, the UAE has issued a high alert and partially closed its airspace as a security precaution. This move led to the cancellation and delay of numerous flights at Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airports. Authorities stated they are monitoring the situation and advised passengers to confirm travel details with their respective airlines. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) assured that all measures are being taken to ensure citizen safety and urged the public to remain vigilant but calm during the holy month of Ramadan.

In Abu Dhabi, an Asian national was reportedly killed after missile debris fell on a residential area. While the UAE defense systems successfully intercepted the missiles launched by Iran, the falling shrapnel caused significant damage to buildings and resulted in the fatality.

Meanwhile, Bahrain has condemned the strikes as a “blatant violation of sovereignty” and a direct threat to the safety of its citizens and residents. According to the Qatar News Agency, Bahraini officials described the targeted attacks on various centers and establishments as a treacherous act of aggression.
