Drugs and Weapons seized duringtraffic stop in Hamilton

TORONTO – Drugs and weapons were seized from a motorcycle rider during a traffic stop in Hamilton. James Tilley, a Hamilton resident, was arrested in connection with the incident. He was apprehended during a vehicle inspection on July 16 in the Ottawa Street North area, near Centre Mall. Members of the HEAT Unit intercepted a motorcycle with a fake license plate. A subsequent search led to the discovery and seizure of drugs and weapons from the suspect.

90 grams of fentanyl, 29 grams of cocaine, 27 grams of methamphetamine, 9 grams of oxycodone pills, weapons and $182.35 in cash were among the items seized. Police say Tilley was transported to Central Custody and his bail was opposed. Anyone with additional information is asked to come forward to police.
