Ottawa: The next Canada Pension Plan (CPP) payments will be distributed nationwide today (August 27). This time’s CPP payment includes a 2.7% increase and additional benefits such as Old Age Security (OAS) and Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS).
The Canada Pension Plan is a nationwide social insurance program designed to provide income during retirement and benefits in case of disability or death. Residents over the age of 65 are entitled to a maximum monthly payment of $1,433.
The remaining CPP payment dates for this year are September 25 (Thursday), October 29 (Wednesday), November 26 (Wednesday), and December 22 (Monday). For more information, visit the Government of Canada’s CPP page or log in to your My Service Canada account.
