B.C. Residents Lack Trust in Used Car Dealerships: Survey

VANCOUVER: A new survey report indicates that the majority of British Columbia residents do not trust used car dealerships. This was the finding of a recent survey conducted by the Angus Reid Institute and Clutch, an online platform for buying and selling used vehicles.

The survey states that three out of four B.C. residents do not trust used car dealerships. It found that buyers were frustrated by issues such as not disclosing vehicle-related problems, as well as with pricing, sales tactics, and fees. The survey also suggests that four out of five provincial residents who have bought a used car have experienced problems.

Dan Park, CEO of Clutch, said that buying a used car is a source of frustration for Canadians. He added that the importance of the used car market will only increase as the price of new vehicles rises.
