OTTAWA – Health Canada has announced a recall of USB charging stations due to a potential electric shock hazard. The recall affects model number YC-A10, which was sold on Amazon.ca.
The agency stated that only eight units of this model were sold in Canada. Health Canada has received two reports of electric shock incidents related to the product, but no injuries have been reported. In response, the product has been removed from Amazon’s Canadian store.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the charging stations and dispose of them in accordance with local municipal electronic waste regulations.
