Alberta’s referendum count still not complete, results to be delayed

ALBERTA- The vote counting for the referendum held in Alberta remains incomplete even after the scheduled deadline. According to figures available as of Thursday morning, Elections Alberta announced that votes from 97 percent of polling stations have been reported.

The delay was caused by the need to manually count ballots containing ten questions. Against the requirement of 60,000 workers, slightly over 47,000 were deployed. Authorities also stated that the exact completion date for the vote counting remains uncertain.

The referendum covered crucial issues including immigration policy, constitutional reform, and whether Alberta should secede from Canada. The final results will be announced after all votes are counted.
