Two window washers were safely rescued by firefighters early Friday morning after becoming trapped on a high-rise scaffold in downtown Montreal. The incident occurred around 8:00 AM near the 13th floor of a building located at 1001 Robert Bourassa Boulevard.
Upon receiving the emergency call, a specialized rescue team from the Montreal Fire Department (SIM) dispatched to the scene. Firefighters rappelled down from the building’s roof to secure the trapped workers and safely lower them to the ground.
The fire department confirmed that the lives of the two window washers were never in danger. Ambulances were stationed at the site as a precautionary measure, and Montreal Police (SPVM) managed local traffic to ensure a smooth rescue operation.
