FORT SMITH, N.W.T. — A shooting incident during the annual Fireweed Festival in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, has forced organizers to halt all events as law enforcement conducts an active search for an armed suspect.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) issued a shelter-in-place advisory for the community, urging residents to remain indoors while officers search the area.
