New Delhi: Khalistani terrorist Happy Passia is set to be extradited from the United States to India in the coming days, according to sources within central security agencies. Passia, currently in US custody, will be brought to Delhi under tight security arrangements. His arrest on April 17 in Sacramento, California, by American Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) followed continuous coordination with Indian authorities.
Passia is accused of orchestrating multiple terror attacks in Punjab, targeting police stations and other critical public institutions. Reports indicate that between 2023 and 2025, he played a pivotal role in organizing targeted killings, grenade attacks on police establishments, and extortion activities across Punjab and other states. Official sources in Punjab have also indicated suspicions of Happy Passia’s collaboration with the banned Khalistani terror organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
His interrogation is expected to provide crucial insights into a broader international terror network, including alleged links to Pakistan’s intelligence apparatus and Khalistani separatist groups operating from foreign soil. This extradition marks a significant development in India’s efforts to combat cross-border terrorism.
