30 injured after car plows through crowd in East Hollywood

Washington: More than 30 people were injured when a car plowed into a crowd in East Hollywood, Los Angeles, USA. Many of the injured are in critical condition. The incident occurred early Saturday morning near Hollywood landmarks like Sunset Boulevard and the Walk of Fame, according to international reports.

The car crashed into a group of people waiting outside a nightclub. The majority of those injured were women. Initial investigations suggested that the driver might have lost consciousness just before the crash, according to a fire department official.

Further reports indicate that the driver of the vehicle was found to have been shot, and bystanders reportedly attacked the driver after the crash. Police are investigating whether the shooting occurred before or after the vehicle struck the crowd. The car also hit a taco truck and a valet stand before coming to a stop. Paramedics discovered the gunshot wound on the driver, who was then taken to a local hospital. Police have not yet identified the driver or released their condition. A suspect in the shooting, described as a man in a blue jersey with a silver revolver, is being sought. The incident is currently under police investigation.
